Introduced from June 2009, they are typically formed of six cars, though they can quickly be coupled together to form 12-cars when required. Based at Ashford and Ramsgate, there are currently 29 six-car sets in service. They can be found on services on High Speed 1, the North Kent Line, South Eastern Main Line, Chatham and Kent Coast lines, and the Ashford-Ramsgate line.Ā
