The Class 144 Diesel Multiple Unit was part of British Railā€™s Second Generation DMU fleet. Known as ā€˜Pacersā€™, along with the Class 141, 142 and 143s, the Class 143s were introduced by British Rail in the mid-1980s at a time when it was replacing its ageing fleet of first generation DMUs. This EFE Rail model depicts unit No. 144003 in its colourful BR West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive ā€˜Metroā€™ Red and Cream livery.
